An Emotional Release Art Workshop
This workshop is dedicated to honor your sacred emotions and give them a voice, not through words but through your body and your creative flow.
The Experience
An intuitive painting session guided by Nik Torres. Using acrylics and palette knives only. We’ve removed the brushes to remove the pressure. By not using a paint brush, the palette knives allow for energy, texture, and raw movement to become dynamic.
The Philosophy
This is about the medicine of the process of release, not the final painting. You'll choose your colors by intuition. Every layer and stroke is a physical release, allowing the paint to carry what you no longer need to hold.
What to Bring
• Comfortable Clothing: Wear something you can move freely in, and that you don't mind getting paint on.
• An Open Heart: No art experience is required. This is about leaving something behind, not taking a "perfect" painting home.

Meet your Facilitator
Nik Torres is a Colombian/Canadian mixed media artist. She explores her self-healing journey through harmonizing abstract narratives that aid her in reconciling with her trauma, cultural hybridity, and lead her through a path of sobriety. Her vulnerability seeks to destigmatize conversations surrounding mental health and addiction. Her work creates subtle voices of serenity, and harmony that can resonate with other souls who are aiming to reconcile with their own internal struggles.
Torres holds an MA in Education, a BEd, and a BA in Visual Arts. She has been an educator for almost 15 years and a full-time artist for over half a decade. Art & Education have become her life's offering, inspiring others to discover their authentic creative voice.
